Manufacturing digital maturity diagnostic

Below, the seven dimensions are laid out one by one. Each maps to a real shop-floor breakpoint rather than to a software feature list — identify the breakpoint first, then decide whether a system is what you need.

Seven dimensions, scored one by one

  • Procurement & supplyWhether delivery dates can be committed, and whether subcontract materials and accounts reconcile.
  • Warehousing & logisticsWhether book quantities match what is on the shelf, and whether FIFO is really followed.
  • Manufacturing & executionWhether material is kitted before dispatch, and whether a problem can be traced to lot and station.
  • Quality & traceabilityHow nonconforming parts are handled, and whether corrective actions actually close.
  • Customer & collectionHow many versions of one quotation exist, and how shipments are matched to receipts.
  • Project deliveryWhether scope changes leave a baseline, and whether project cost is knowable.
  • Human resourcesWhether organisation, position and reporting lines are clear, and whether payroll has a traceable basis.

How to read the result

  1. Answer from the shop floor as it is, not as the system is supposed to be — the questions ask whether status is clear, not whether a feature exists.
  2. About three minutes in one sitting. You can resume later; answers stay in this browser only.
  3. Use it to locate the segment that most needs work before deciding on a project. It is not an implementation commitment.

FAQ

How long does it take? Do I need to sign up?

21 questions, about 3 minutes, no sign-up and no contact details required. You can resume later.

Are my answers sent to a server?

No. All answers and results are computed locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and no contact details are kept.

What do the questions actually ask?

Whether critical business status can be stated clearly today — delivery confirmation, book-to-physical accuracy, kitting and dispatch, nonconformance handling, quotation versions, baseline changes, organisation master data. Not a software feature checklist.

What do I see at the end?

A total score, a maturity tier (Starting out, Point solutions, Main chain connected, or Ready for intelligence), a seven-dimension radar, and which three segments to move first.

Is this the same as the specialty self-checks in Resources?

No. This diagnostic shows which of procurement, warehousing, manufacturing, quality, customer, project and HR to move first. A specialty self-check then goes deeper on that one line. Neither replaces the other.

Can the result be used as an implementation or acceptance basis?

No. The model is built from JEDP field delivery experience across seven product lines and 55 industry insight articles. Results are for self-assessment only and do not constitute an implementation commitment.
